Influenza Vaccination Clinics

Influenza is a very contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccination each year. The Mount Rogers Health District in partnership with Carroll County Public school system is pleased to provide student Flu Vaccination Clinics again this year on October 24th & 25th, 2017. The vaccine will be available free of charge to all students. Only injections will be available. Medicaid or insurance may be billed for an administration fee but parents will not be charged or billed.

The Schedule for the Clinics is as follows:

October 24, 2017

Hillsville Elementary and Oakland Elementary at 8:30 AM
Gladesboro Elementary and St. Paul School at 10:30 AM
Gladeville Elementary and Fancy Gap Elementary at 1:00 PM

October 25, 2017

Carroll Co Middle and Laurel Elementary at 8:30 AM
RAE Center at 10:30 AM 
Carroll County High at 1:00 PM

The Carroll County Health Department will return to the elementary schools on November 28, 2017, to administer the 2nd dose of the flu vaccine for student's that require the 2nd dose.

Consent forms will be coming home with students today and need to be returned no later than September 20, 2017.
